SCAIA is one of the brands of pioneers Valpolicella Tenuta Sant’Antonio winery. Based north-east of Verona, their vineyards are on a ridge of hills, close to the Alps. In Veneto dialect, the word “scaia” means a chip of stone, chalk, limestone: it is a tribute to our soil, where a line of unique young wines is produced. Their focus is on enhancing the primary characteristics of the grapes via stainless steel fermentation and ageing, to produce consistently fresh wines with aromatic complexity.

Today the founder of Savian’s grandson, William Savian, manages what has developed into 42 hectare estate located between the Livenza and Tagliamento Rivers, where the provinces of Venice, Pordenone and Treviso meet. A forward thinking family and business, Savian have always been fully committed to the environment and for this reason, in 1993, they became one of the first certified organic producers in the region. The estate’s calcareous clay soil, rich in shallow carbonate, provides the perfect environment for low- intervention, organic, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Grigio and Lison Classico (Tocai Friulano).

The family-run, 100% organic San Giusto a Rentennano, a name of Etruscan origin, overlooks the upper course of the Arbia river in the farthest south Chianti Classico wine zone. Biodiversity, sustainability and eco-friendly practices are paramount to them - their farming methods remain largely manual, they have been organic since 2001, are 80% solar powered since 2007, and place a strong focus on recyclable packaging.

Wines crafted by one of Tuscany’s most famous winemakers.The historic property of Villa Trasqua is located in the Castellina sub-region of Chianti Classico, between Siena and Monteriggioni. The estate’s long tradition in winemaking dates back to 1001, making it one of the oldest winemaking estates in Chianti Classico. Winemaker Franco Bernabei has one of the most revered careers of any winemaker in Tuscany, having created wines for Felsina, Fontodi (where he created the iconic Flaccianello della Pieve), Folonari and Fattoria di Selvapiana.

Nestled between the hillside villages of Loreto Aprutino and Picciano in the province of Pescara, Colle Corviano is an award-winning 15 hectare estate that is obsessively committed to improving the reputation of Abruzzo via single block winemaking. Each block is vinified separately and traced throughout the production process allowing Chief Winemaker, Paolo Benassi (previously of Castello Banfi) to create wines with distinct terroir driven character.

Situated in Lapio city, near Avellino, Tenuta Scuotto is a family-run winery who as Wine Spectator has recognised is pushing the boundaries of Fiano. Tenuta Scuotto strives to produce wines that fully express the characteristics of the area in which they are born at the same time as conveying their unique identity. Their desire and primary goal is to produce wines that are a clear expression of the territory and their passion for viticulture. They use an integrated approach to farming and work with reduced yields, producing highly complex and concentrated wines as a result.
