Family-owned since 1932, Champagne Taittinger remains one of the few grandes marques still directed by its founding family. With over 280 hectares of estate vineyards, largely Grand and Premier Cru sites, the house is defined by a Chardonnay-driven philosophy that privileges finesse, aromatic precision and ageing potential over sheer power. This emphasis on purity and elegance distinguishes Taittinger within Champagne’s landscape.
The Brut Réserve exemplifies the style, with 40% Chardonnay balanced by Pinot Noir and Meunier. Extended lees ageing lends depth and texture, while preserving the crystalline freshness that is the house’s hallmark. Notes of citrus zest, white peach, almond and brioche unfold with a fine, persistent mousse, a cuvée of restraint, poise and quiet sophistication.
