INTRODUCTION

Nero d’Avola, one of the most widespread and well-known red grape varieties in Sicily. Its area of origin is that of Avola, in the province of Ragusa. Nero d’Avola can be found today in all Sicilian provinces and it is also the varietal that best represents Sicily in the world. In the 19th Century Nero d’Avola was called “Calabrese”. This is a smooth and well-balanced Nero d’Avola with intense scents of ripe red fruit.

TASTING NOTES

Intense ruby red in colour, with purple hues. The nose features intense aromas of ripe red fruit, and the palate is well balanced with soft tannins. An excellent pairing with aged cheese and red meat.
