Moscato d’Alessandria is originally from Egypt, and was introduced by the Arabs as “zibibbo” in Pantelleria, where almost all of the national production is still grown. Of Arab origin are also the characteristic terraces of the island where the vines are grown. Zibibbo derives from the arab word “Z’bib” which means raisins (dry grape). It is one of the five aromatic grapes of the world.

Assuli dry Zibibbo is fresh and smooth, with notes of peach and Sicilian citrus fruit characterised by a pleasant balance between salinity and minerality. Straw yellow in colour with greenish reflections. It has intense and persistent aromas of peach and Sicilian citrus. Flavours are in line with the aromas, and fresh with salinity and minerality. An excellent pairing with fish courses, smoked fish and fried fish and gourmet salads.
