Project Description

La Delizia

Friuli

The largest winery in North-East Italy

In 1931, 70 growers joined forces to create a cooperative called Destra Tagliamento. Today, known as Viticultori Friulani La Delizia with 500 growers and 2,000 hectares of vineyards throughout the Friuli plain with the renowned Friuli Grave and Prosecco DOC areas. Historically dedicated to viticulture, these areas produce wines with a strong identity and character.

In an area of over 100 hectares, the different varieties of grapes grown in Friuli are cultivated in collaboration with leading Research Institutes and Centres, carrying out clonal experiments alongside nursery activity aimed to improve the research and the quality of the wine heritage is developed.

The combination of nature and soil, and the influence of a particularly mild climate, due to the protection of the mountains on one side and the influence of the sea on the other, allow Viticoltori Friulani La Delizia to produce quality wines with personality.
