Originally conceived by Bill Samuels Sr. for his own consumption, this is a whiskey that is never bitter or sharp. The characteristic sweetness of this whiskey is provided by carefully-sourced, Soft Red Winter Wheat. This is mixed with high magnesium, high calcium, iron-free water from a spring-fed, limestone-filtered lake, which helps the yeast flourish and adds a smoothness. After fermentation and distillation, the whiskey is aged for years in seared, American, white oak barrels to imbue it with flavour and colour. This is a whiskey with caramel, wood oak, and vanilla notes to this amber elixir.
