In the North Western section of the Barossa Valley, the red clay loam over marl (a friable earthly deposit consisting of clay and limestone) produces the highest quality red wines. The Cabernet grapes are harvested early from a well shaded canopy to ensure retention of classic Cabernet leaf and plush herbal characters. Bottling preparation involves minimal fining and no filtration.
Lifted aromatics are the key component to this pretty wine. Aromatics of boysenberry, cherry, choc mint, pine nut, lamingtons and a slightly sweet citrus zest fill the nose. Palate flavours mirror the nose and complement the soft yet full palate texture.
