A wine with a true Tuscan soul, the highest quality grapes selected from a single estate vineyard gives us this powerful, authentic, and elegant Chianti Classico wine. The word ‘Bellezza’, meaning beauty, was used by us to refer this vineyard for its beauty and exceptionally high-quality yields, and thus it became the vineyard nickname.
Great care is taken in the growing and handling of the grapes both in the vineyard and the winery. After alcoholic fermentation, malolactic fermentation takes place in new French oak barriques. The wine is aged, for a period of 14-16 months in small-capacity barrels (225 litres), which give the wine softness and emphasise the typical flavour of the grape. This is followed by a long bottle maturation to give balance and enhance the fragrances.
This wine’s mature ruby red hue gives aromas of dark cherry, black plum, and red berries. The fruit notes combine well with the complex hints of wild herbs, eucalyptus, tobacco, liquorice, fine oak, and sweet pepper. The palate shows a well-integrated wine with fine tannins and good acidity. Complex layers of fruity and savoury notes abound in the full-body of this wine and can continue to be enjoyed on its long finish.
