Project Description

At the turn of the 20th Century Domaine Minet was merely a farm in Pouilly-Sur-Loire were Robert Minet, an artisanal tonnelier (barrel-maker) lived. Robert, an independent man, living autonomously off his own livestock and fresh vegetables from his farm which also included three hectares of vines.

Domaine Minet sits at 250m above sea level, surrounded by hills on the far east of the Loire River on the prized limestone and clay of the Kimmeridgian chain. The scattered flint in the vineyards a similar characteristic to those in the village of Sancerre. Domaine Minet, now under the guidance of Régis Minet, who when Robert passed in 1976, left his studies in order to continue the work of his grandfather, produces truly outstanding Sauvignon Blanc.
